Vision: To reach out to uninsured individuals suffering from heart and lung conditions and providing them with the opportunity to receive first class medical care.

Mission: To provide Cardiothoracic medical care to individuals in the Los Angeles area who are uninsured or otherwise economically challenged.

The Need for Affordable Healthcare in the Los Angeles Area

  • 3.3 million Californians were uninsured for over a year
  • 7 out of 10 children who are eligible for Medi-Cal or Healthy Families remained uninsured for at least one year.
  • Only 1/4 of Californian adults who are both uninsured and who have heart disease take medications for the disease.

Foundation Goals

  • Secure pro-bono and "at cost" medical services
  • Raise funds to supplement the cost of surgeries
  • Develop a rapid response mechanism to handle emergency cases
  • Build a network of medical professionals and institutions dedicated to addressing the medical needs of the uninsured in Los Angeles.
